COASTAL has over 17 years' experience with the design, development, testing, service, and regulation of magnetic resonance imaging systems, equipment, and accessory devices. We can assist you in the design of your MRI-safe and MRI-compatible products, at a variety of MRI field strengths. Through collaborative agreements with luminary institutions and teaching hospitals in the Midwest and New England, we are able to offer MRI compatibility testing on open- and closed-bore MRI architectures, from various OEM MRI manufacturers, and at various magnetic field strengths, up to 3.0T.


We are able to provide turnkey regulatory support for the product development cycle of MR compatible devices and accessories, including end-stage design, verification testing, validation and clinical testing, and FDA submissions development and support.


NEMA participation

While not an MRI equipment manufacturer, COASTAL continues active participate as a non-voting member in NEMA's MR Section and Technical Committees in the development and revision of NEMA measurement standards, and in the comment on emerging domestic US and international regulations applicable to MR.
